Flat To A Little Firmer

EURIBOR

Euribor futures run flat to 2.5bp richer through the blues, with Bunds on the front foot this morning.

  • A RTRS interview with ECB’s Stournaras (dove) saw him note that “the ECB should not stop its bond purchases early because they may still need to calm jittery markets but it is down to governments, including Italy's, to keep bondholders on side.” He also played down the need for a higher MRR for banks. Stournaras also remains attuned to the risk of stagflation, with an eye on geopolitical matters in the Middle East.
  • ECB speak will continue to filter out of Marrakech throughout the day, with the account of the Bank’s September meeting also due to cross.
