Freeport Works to Weigh on LNG Exports

LNG

Weekly LNG exports from the Freeport LNG exports terminal dropped in March, due to ongoing works at the facility according to Kpler.

  • Freeport’s Train 3 has resumed production after being offline for 1.5 months. Train 1 and Train 2 are currently undergoing maintenance for inspection and possible repairs, scheduled to be completed by the beginning of May, Freeport CEO Michael Smith said this week.
  • The outages at both liquefaction trains are likely to further reduce Freeport’s gas intakes and LNG exports in the short term (see chart on exports) according to Kpler.
  • Feedgas deliveries to Freeport stood at 0.78bcf/d today, compared with a low of 0.27bcf/d on 19 March and the 30-day moving average of 1.06bcf/d according to Bloomberg.
