French Strikes Continue but No More Requisitions Planned

The CGT union has this morning rejected the latest pay offer from TotalEnergies as the French refinery strikes continue.

  • The French government does not plan to issue more requisitions at this stage amid strikes affecting refineries and storage sites according to French Energy Minister Agnes Pannier-Runacher on Friday.
  • The French government has this week confirmed it has requisitioned staff at the Dunkirk and Port Jerome depots to allow fuel deliveries to restart
  • The prompt Gasoil time spread has pulled back slightly following the requisitions. Nov-Dec is down from a peak at 80$/mt yesterday back to 65$/mt.
