Fresh ’23 Low For Futures

Gilt futures have hit a new YtD low as broader core global FI markets ease further.

  • There hasn’t been much in the way of headline counter to the impact from the lack of meaningful escalation in the Israel-Hamas conflict and the latest speculation re: the BoJ, allowing U.S. 10-Year yields to look above 5% for the first time since ’07, dragging wider core global FI yields higher.
  • A sustained break through 91.00 for gilt futures would expose the Oct ‘22/LDI crisis low (90.38).
