RBNZ: Further comments from RBNZ Deputy Governor Hawkesby hitting RTRS now:
- Hawkesby notes that the outlook for rates is more balanced after yesterday's
50bp cut, although "some probability" remains that further OCR cuts will be
required.
- Hawkesby highlights the global environment & domestic business confidence as
the major downside risks to the OCR outlook.
- Hawkesby also stated that the Bank expected the NZD to fall on the back of
yesterday's decision.
