Futures Softer Overnight, Rinban Due

JGBS

JGB futures finished overnight trade -4, which equated to worst levels of the session, with the late round of weakness in post-Tokyo trade coming alongside a cheapening move in the longer end of the U.S. Tsy & UK Gilt curves.

  • Local headline flow has been thin, and spill over from late Gilt & Tsy trade may result in some twist steepening pressure on the JGB curve in early Tokyo dealing.
  • Final services and composite and PMI headline a fairly limited domestic data docket on Wednesday, with 1- to 5-Year BoJ Rinban operations also due.
