Gail Shuts Dabhol LNG from May 15 Ahead of Monsoon Season

Gail India is due to halt imports of LNG to its Dabhol LNG terminal on the west coast from May 15 ahead of the monsoon season, according to Bloomberg.

  • The terminal has no breakwater facility to protect from choppy seas and is expected to resume operations at the end of September.
  • The 5mtpa facility shuts during every monsoon season, reducing Gail’s effective capacity to just 2.9mtpa.
