GBPUSD briefly traded above $1.28 yesterday...>

CABLE: GBPUSD briefly traded above $1.28 yesterday but again met strong
headwinds to close in NY at 1.2780. A quiet Asia-Pac session with limited
volumes has seen the pair largely consolidate $1.2763-80 ahead of Europe. In
Brexit news, it now appears the TV debate has been shelved and reports the vote
could be delayed were denied by PM May. GBPUSD eases with EURUSD at typing to
fresh session lows following the release of soft German Industrial Production
data. Hourly support from Dec6 is seen at $1.2745/27, expect stronger protection
on approach to $1.2700 (Dec6 low). Bulls need to break $1.28 and close above the
21-dma to change the short term outlook more neutral. EURGBP trades either side
of Gbp0.8900 with downside support expected today from the 100-dma & Dec 5 low
at Gbp0.8885/75.
