German Gas Demand 3% Below Normal Last Week

German gas consumption last week declined by 6% week on week and stood 3% below the 2018-21 average, Bnetza data show.

  • Temperature-adjusted consumption stood 9.2% below the 2018-21 average.
  • German LNG imports on 1-14 March averaged 118 GWh/d, compared with 162 GWh/d in February.
  • Total German natural gas imports averaged 2787 GWh/d on 1-14 March, compared with 3106 GWh/d in February.
  • German gas storages stood at 64.12% of capacity on 14 March, compared with 66.14% a week earlier, AGSI data show.
