German Gas Demand Stood 13.38% Below 2018-21 Average Last Week

German natural gas consumption last week stood 13.38% below the average demand during 2018-2021, Bnetza data showed.

  • Demand rose by 5.43% week on week in calendar week 32, driven by an increase in consumption from industry and households and small businesses.
  • German gas storage capacity stood at 91.61% as of 15 August, up from 89.91% a week earlier, AGSI data show.
