German Gas Storage Filling May Slow During NS1 Maintenance

German gas storage injection pace could slow during Nord Stream 1 three-day unplanned maintenance Aug. 31 – Sept. 2 according to Klaus Muller head of the German energy regulator Bundesnetzagentur.

  • "German gas storage sites are being continuously filled and have passed another milestone at 80.14%," Muller said. But, he said: "The surprising maintenance of Nord Stream could temporarily dampen the filling." He said on twitter.
  • German gas storage recently passed the 80% full mark.
  • With regards to LNG, Muller said - "As painful as the high gas prices are, they also allow an inflow of LNG to the EU,".
