GILT SUMMARY: Gilts have grinded higher over the course of Monday after opening
sharply lower.
- The Mar 19 Gilt future is up 21 ticks at 122.85, having traded in a range of
122.25-122.87 today.
- The cash is a little flatter, with the 2-Yr yield down 3.5bps at 0.742%, 5-Yr
down 3.3bps at 0.912%, 10-Yr down 3.7bps at 1.327%, and 30-Yr down 4.1bps at
2.038%.
- Short-Sterling futures are up slightly, Reds and Greens the outperformers, up
2-3 ticks.
- A leaked copy of the Commons legal analysis of the Brexit withdrawal agreement
has been latched onto by opponents of the deal, as the advice appears to suggest
that the deal could keep the UK in the Irish border backstop indefinitely.
- The attorney general gives a statement at 1630GMT.
- BoE Chief Economist Haldane speaks in Cambridge at 1730GMT; Tuesday sees
Carney and other BOE leaders speaking to parliamentary committee on Brexit.
- Tuesday also brings Construction/Industrial PMIs, with BOE's Vlieghe speaking.
