EQUITIES: Global equities continue to defy the skeptics, with Eurozone equities
in particular catching fire after Thursday's ECB meeting.
- Asian stocks closed higher, with Japan's NIKKEI up 167.99 pts or +0.74% at
22863.73 and the TOPIX up 8.66 pts or +0.54% at 1612.48. China's SHANGHAI closed
up 11.549 pts or +0.4% at 2930.799 and the HANG SENG ended 404.11 pts higher or
+1.66% at 24770.41.
- European equities are sharply higher, with the German Dax up 246.72 pts or
+1.98% at 12678.03, FTSE 100 up 76.35 pts or +1.2% at 6417.75, CAC 40 up 106.53
pts or +2.13% at 5118.51 and Euro Stoxx 50 up 72.67 pts or +2.23% at 3334.34.
- U.S. futures are gaining again, with the Dow Jones mini up 366 pts or +1.39%
at 26620, S&P 500 mini up 30 pts or +0.96% at 3140.75, NASDAQ mini up 53.5 pts
or +0.56% at 9680.25.s
