GoC Curve Flat Through 5Y To 30Y

  • Mixed flattening as 2Y yields have tried to hang onto opening levels (+1bps on Fri close) but the long end rallies solidly with the 10Y down -6bps and 30Y down -10bps.
  • Various sections of the curve are notably flatter day, with 2s10s of 13.5bps the flattest since Mar-2020 and 5s30s fliting with inversion at 0.0bp on an ask basis, through 2019 flats and the lowest since more prolonged inversion through 2007.
  • Growing outperformance over Treasuries on the day sees the Can-US yield differential shrink but remain marginally positive at both 2Y and 10Y tenors.
