  • Following climate finance talks on Tuesday with DM nations, the SA delegation is said to be hammering out details for a possible announcement at the COP26 climate talks on 31 October.
    • Talks were held yesterday with unions to discuss the matter and the possibilities of a green transition which faces opposition in some parts of govt (most NB is Gwede Mantashe) and with local coal-producing communities
  • Public Protector Mkhwebane has closed some investigations involving allegations made against Ramaphosa & some ministers. In a compliant made by Thabiso Zulu vs Ramaphosa made in April 2020 and vs Pravin Gordhan in the alleged interference in Mango airlines recruitment could not be corroborate
    • This marks an interesting shift from the PP as she is notably anti-Ramaphosa and aligned more closely with the Zuma faction and has launched many spurious cases to distract and undermine the Ramaphosa faction throughout her term.
