India’s Diesel, Gasoline Sales Rose MoM in September

India’s state-run refiners increased diesel and gasoline sales in September month on month, while diesel sales fell below last year’s levels according to refinery officials, cited by Bloomberg.

  • Diesel sales rose by 2.5% on the month in September to 5.82mn tons, but down by 3% year on year.
  • Sales of gasoline rose by 5.6% on the month in September to 2.8mn tons, also up by 5.4% on the year.
  • September jet-fuel sales declined by 0.4% on the month to 597,000 tons, but remained 7.5% above last year’s levels.
