Israel FM Calls On China To Help Restrain Iran's Nuclear Programme

Amichai Stein at Kann has reported that Israeli Foreign Minister Eli Cohen has held a call with his Chinese counterpart Qin Gang and called on China to, "exert influence on Iran" to stop the progress of Iran's nuclear program."

  • A restoration of relations between Iran and Saudi Arabia has removed one of the key pillars of Israeli foreign policy in the region which viewed a normalisation of ties with Riyadh as a effective means of constraining Iran.
