Israeli Gas Finds Upgraded

NATURAL GAS

Energean has made a commercial gas discovery at its Zeus exploration well - off the coast of Israel, and upgraded the Athena discovery from previous estimates.

• Preliminary estimates indicate that Zeus holds 13.3bcm of gas, just above pre-drill estimates, according to the company.

• Findings for Athena have been upgraded from 8bcm to 11.75bcm.

• Athena could be linked to the floating production and storage vessel (FPSO) Energean uses to send gas to the Israeli market from its flagship Karish field.

• In late October, Energean began production from the Karish field and has been ramping up production. Volumes are expected at 6.5bcm/yr, four to six months following the first gas.
