STOCKS: Japanese equities are trading at their highest levels since 1992, the
Nikkei 225 went into the lunch break up 454.34pts, the gains were made after
more solid earnings were reported and as the the yen continues to weaken against
the dollar, near its lowest since March.
- The Hang Seng is up at decade highs after China inflation beat estimates. The
ASX 200 is up too by 28pts, led by the real estate sector despite home loans
showing a slowing down of housing market activity in Aus.
- Wall Street indices again gained on the overnight, led by the Nasdaq so no
surprise the Nikkei's leading sector is information technology. European stocks
ended mixed as Thursday brings a packed economic docket for Europe.
- USDJPY was last at 113.98.
