LNG stockpiles held by Japanese utilities were unchanged on the week at 1.61mn tons as of 14 April, data released by the trade ministry showed.

  • Volumes were below last year’s levels of 2.44mn tons and below the five-year average for the end of April of 2.02mn tons.
  • In the week prior, inventories saw the first weekly increase since late February.
