JGBS: JGB futures stuck to a tight range in the overnight session, after fading
into the Tokyo close, as support from yesterday's solid 20-Year supply
evaporated (although mild twist flattening was still seen on the curve).
- Early reports from the Nikkei have pointed to Japan's government considering a
slight trimming of its new JGB issuance in FY20/21. With the paper pointing to
Y32.5tn vs. the current fiscal year's Y32.7tn. The piece also pointed to a
consideration re: increasing issuance of 40-Year JGBs, an idea that was
consistent with findings in the latest BBG dealer survey.
- Monthly trade data and 1-10 Year BoJ Rinban ops headline today's local docket,
with 12-Month Bill supply also due.
