JPY: Sliding Off Cycle Highs

AUD

AUD/JPY has retreated and shed 31 pips thus far, extending Thursday's rout. It last sits at Y83.33, with major equity benchmarks across the Asia-Pac region trading in the red. Today's dip coincided with a pullback in the RSI, which has returned below the 70 level.

  • Further losses past Feb 17 low of Y81.76 would encourage bears to take aim at the 50-DMA, which intersects at Y80.53 and has been intact since Nov last year. Bulls need a firm push through Feb 25 cycle high of Y84.95 to get some fresh impetus.
