Kashagan Oil Field Output Rises To Record Levels

Daily oil production of the Kashagan oil field in Kazakhstan has been rising to record levels since its return in late October, according to KazMunayGas head Magzum Mirzagaliyev.

  • "We had experienced problems with Kashagan regarding a decline in oil and gas production. However, the good news is that a couple of weeks ago, Kashagan output returned to normal, and daily volumes are now at record levels," Mirzagaliev said.
  • Production operations stopped on 3 August following a gas leak.
