Kazakh Jul Output Still Below May Volumes

Crude output from Kazakhstan increased in July but still lags behind pre maintenance amounts.

  • Output of crude and condensate was estimate at 1.62mbpd in July, up from 1.44mbpd in June but below 1.79mbpd in May according to Bloomberg calculations. Crude output was estimated at 1.36mbpd in July compared to an OPEC+ target of 1.68mbpd.
  • The Kashagan field underwent planned maintenance during June and the first half of July.
  • Output will fall again in August due to maintenance at the Tengiz field.
