Kazakhstan Increase Oil Exports Through Azerbaijan

Kazakh main oil pipeline operator, KazTransOil, has reported a significant increase in oil exports through Azerbaijan.

  • Exports via Aktau Port to Baku increased 75% from March to 152.4k tonnes in April according to the company's press service. A total of 160.2k tonnes of oil was also exported from Aktau Port to Makhachkala Port.
  • The total volume of Kazakh oil exported from Aktau Port increased 24% to 312.6k tonnes with 115k tonnes from Tengiz field, 19.2k tonnes from Dunga and 178.3k tonnes from the Buzachi Peninsula fields.
  • KazMunayGas and SOCAR have an agreement to transport 1.5m tonnes of oil this year through the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline.
