Kazakhstan Increased Q1 Crude Oil Exports To Europe YoY

Kazakhstan sent 71% of its crude oil exports in the first quarter of this year to the EU, compared with 65% a year earlier according to Kazakhstan's Bureau of National Statistics.

  • Exports to Italy saw the sharpest increase to 38% of all exports, up from 28% a year earlier.
  • Kazakhstan also started shipping crude oil to Germany. The country sent 90,000t of crude to Germany during February-April according to KazTransOil.
