Kazakhstan Output to Increase in November

Kazakhstan’s total output of crude and condensate is estimated at a three month high in October at 6.56m tons (1.54mbpd) according to Bloomberg calculations.

  • The output is an increase from 1.4mbpd in September due to completed maintenance at Karachaganak and a gradual increase in output from Kashagan. Kashagan Output has doubled to about 200kbpd during October after a gas leak in early August. The aim is to fully restore output of approximately 400kbpd by the end of November.
  • Work to fix two damaged moorings at the CPC export terminal is ongoing but they are expected to be operational in early November.
  • Caspian CPC Blend loadings are set to rise to 5.4m tons (1.42mbpd) in November from 1.08mbpd in October.
