Kazakhstan Still Plans BTC Exports in Feb

Kazakhstan's Kazmunaygas still plans to export oil via the Baku - Tbilisi - Ceyhan pipeline in Feb according to Kazakhstan's energy ministry.

  • Kazakhstan's state energy company Kazmunaygas postponed the start of oil exports from the giant Tengiz oilfield via the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline after the force majeure on oil loadings from Ceyhan earlier this month.
  • The company previously expected to ship up to 120k tonnes of crude across the Caspian Sea from the port of Aktau to Baku for transhipment to BTC pipeline.
