Kremlin: Putin Discussed Threats From FIN, SWE Joining NATO In Sec Co.

Russia's state-run RIA reporting comments from the Kremlin stating that President Vladimir Putin discussed the 'potential threats' posed by the impending accession of Finland and Sweden to NATO in the today's National Security Council meeting.

  • Kremlin spox Dmitri Peskov also states that 'Russia is not against a meeting between Putin and Zelenskyy', but "must be properly prepared...the preparation for this meeting can and must be expressed exclusively in the development of an appropriate document, an agreement that should be aimed at the highest level,"
  • Peskov: "There are no plans to disrupt the supply of Russian gas to Finland from Friday, May 13, and Finnish media reports about it are false."
