Kyiv Announces General Mobilisation, Reports Flag Potential Bombardment Tonight

Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky has signed a decree on general mobilisation to be implemented within 90 days across the territory of Ukraine by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The Border Guard Service earlier said that all men aged 18-60 are prohibited from leaving the country.

  • Ukraine's capital has gone dark after its mayor has ordered an overnight curfew amid reports that additional weapons are being shipped into Kyiv and distributed among local population. A CNN reporter points to the potential of a large Russian bombardment on Kyiv expected around 03:00 local time, citing intelligence reports.
  • President Zelensky warns that enemy "sabotage" units have entered Kyiv (possibly referring to Russian special forces) but he is not planning to leave the capital.
