- Markets look for the unemployment rate to remain at July's level of 3.8%, the
lowest since Oct-Dec 1974. 
- While the July employment rate registered at 76.1% for the second time in a
row, vacancies posted the seventh consecutive fall in Jun-Aug (-23k to 812k) 
- Average weekly earnings incl. bonuses are forecast to remain at 4.0% while
earnings ex. Bonuses are projected to edge lower. 
- The KPMG/REC UK Jobs report states that companies are scaling back their
hiring intentions due to increased political and economic uncertainty. 
- The PMI reports note a weakening in the service sector labour market as well
as further declines in employment in the manufacturing sector.
