Libyan Oil Production at 1.24mn bpd: NOC

Libyan oil production is at 1.24mn bpd currently according to the National Oil Corp on X.

  • Oil output from Libya has remained steady at around that level for the past year.
  • NOC recently announced that the first shipment of Erawin crude, produced from the Erawin field, has been exported through the Zallaf oil and gas exploration and production company.
  • The shipment was estimated at 600,000 barrels and was exported from the port of Zawiya.
  • The NOC has also recently laid the groundworks for a 2024 licensing round, the first in almost 20 years.
  • Prospective investors and energy companies are being welcomed to assess the data now accessible in NOC’s data rooms.
  • It is part of Libya’s goal to hit production levels of 2mn bpd over the next three to five years.
