JGB futures stuck to a familiar range overnight, finishing 3 ticks above Tokyo settlement, although the cheapening impetus in the longer end of the U.S. Tsy curve may come to the fore in early Tokyo dealing after the contract moved away from its overnight peak.

  • Local Japanese news hasn't provided much, if any, input in the week-to-date, leaving the space to trade at the whim of the broader core global FI dynamics and JGB supply. Thursday doesn't look to be much different, with weekly international securities flow data providing the only real point of interest on the local economic docket.
