MIDTERMS: Obama To Hold Rally For Senator Warnock In Georgia

Former President Barrack Obama has confirmed that he will hold a rally in support of Senator Raphael Warnock (D-GA) in Atlanta, Georgia on December 1 - days before the Georgia Senate runoff on December 6.

• The Georgia Senate race could provide Democrats a crucial one seat cushion in the upper chamber and break the 50-50 Senate deadlock which has complicated Democrats legislative ambitions for the past two years.
• Obama said fn Republican candidate Herschel Walker ahead of the midterm election: “Some of you may not remember, but Herschel Walker was a heck of a football player. But here’s the question: does that make him the best person to represent you in the US Senate.
• "Does that make him equipped to weigh in on the critical decisions about our economy and our foreign policy and our future?”
• If Walker wins, Vice President Kamala Harris will continue to cast the tiebreaking Senate vote for Democrats and committee panels will remain bipartisan.
• Betting markets continue to see Warnock as slight favourite, with Walker expected to face a challenge convincing Republican voters to cast yet another Georgia Senate ballot after a series or runoffs and special elections.
