Milei Returns From Spain Visit Amidst Diplomatic Spat

  • Spain said it would recall its ambassador from Buenos Aires after President Milei accused the prime minister’s wife of corruption during his visit to the country over the weekend. Milei also made comments which angered the Spanish government at a far-right rally which he attended in Madrid. Milei has now returned to Argentina following the three-day visit.
  • Separately, Milei said that he is planning to meet with Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg and other tech leaders in a visit to Silicon Valley at the end of May.
