AUSSIE 3-YR TECHS: (Z17) Bulls Need Close Above 97.830
*RES 4: 97.935 - Hourly resistance Sept 14
*RES 3: 97.880 - Low Sept 14 now resistance
*RES 2: 97.865 - Hourly resistance Sept 15
*RES 1: 97.830 - High Sept 22
*PRICE: 97.820 @ 2130GMT
*SUP 1: 97.800 - Low Sept 25
*SUP 2: 97.760 - Hourly resistance Sept 21 now support
*SUP 3: 97.720 - 2017 Low Sept 20
*SUP 4: 97.641 - Daily Bear channel base
*COMMENTARY: The daily bear channel top capping rallies left the contract
looking heavy in past weeks resulting in fresh 2017 lows Wednesday and bears
focused on the daily bear channel base and then 2015 lows. O/S studies remain a
concern for bears. Bulls need a close above 97.830 to shift pressure back to
97.865-880. Above 97.880 is needed to see bulls targeting 97.926-990 where 21 &
55-DMAs and the bear channel top are located.
AUSSIE 10-YR TECHS: (Z17) Above 97.2300 To Shift Focus To DMAs
*RES 4: 97.3170 - 200-DMA
*RES 3: 97.2869 - 21-DMA
*RES 2: 97.2300 - Low July 26 now resistance
*RES 1: 97.2100 - Monthly Low July 20 now resistance
*PRICE: 97.1950 @ 2130GMT
*SUP 1: 97.1650 - Low Sept 25
*SUP 2: 97.1450 - Hourly resistance Sept 21 now support
*SUP 3: 97.1150 - Alternating hourly support/resistance
*SUP 4: 97.0750 - Low Sept 21
*COMMENTARY: The lack of follow through on Thursdays 6mth lows was less than
ideal for bears given daily studies correcting from O/S and the Bollinger base
(97.0958) limiting follow through. Bulls need a close above 97.2300 to confirm
an easing of bearish pressure and to shift focus back to 97.2869-4109 where DMAs
and the bear channel top are situated. Bears now need a close below 97.1150 to
retain initial focus on 97.0600.
US 10-YR FUTURE TECHS: (Z17) Flirting With 55-DMA
*RES 4: 126-090 - High Sept 18
*RES 3: 126-050 - High Sept 20
*RES 2: 126-040 - High Sept 25
*RES 1: 126-030 - 55-DMA
*PRICE: 126-010 @ 2130GMT
*SUP 1: 125-230 - Low Sept 25
*SUP 2: 125-170 - Low Aug 8 & Sept 20
*SUP 3: 125-040 - Low July 26
*SUP 4: 124-280 - Low July 12
*COMMENTARY: Consolidation below the 100-DMA (125-270) appears to have ended
with a bounce Monday that sees the contract flirting with the 55-DMA. Bulls
continue to look for a close above 126-090 to hint at a correction back to
126-270. O/S daily studies correcting add support to the case for a bigger
correction. The 125-170/230 support is now key. Bears need a close below 125-230
to ease renewed bullish pressure and below 125-170 to shift focus lower.
US 10-YR YIELD TECHS: Bears Need Close Below 2.208
*RES 4: 2.290 - High Aug 4
*RES 3: 2.287 - High Sept 20
*RES 2: 2.266 - Hourly support Sept 20 now resistance
*RES 1: 2.232 - Hourly support Sept 25 now resistance
*PRICE: 2.222 @ 2130GMT
*SUP 1: 2.208 - Low Sept 18
*SUP 2: 2.171 - Hourly resistance Sept 13 now support, 21-DMA
*SUP 3: 2.143 - Hourly support Sept 12
*SUP 4: 2.118 - Hourly support Sept 11
*COMMENTARY: The failure at the 2.290 hurdle has left the yield looking heavy
closing back below the 55 (2.226) & 100 (2.237) DMAs. Immediate focus shifts
back to 2.208 with bears needing a close below to shift initial focus to
2.118-171 where the 21-DMA is located. Layers of resistance are building with
bulls needing a close above 2.266 to return immediate pressure to 2.290 and
overall focus to 2.329-337 where the 200-DMA is noted.
JGB TECHS: (Z17) Above 151.09 To Shift Focus Higher
*RES 4: 151.09 - Hourly support Sept 12 now resistance
*RES 3: 151.07 - 21-DMA
*RES 2: 150.99 - Hourly resistance Sept 12
*RES 1: 150.96 - High Sept 22
*PRICE: 150.80 @ 2130GMT
*SUP 1: 150.77 - Low Sept 25
*SUP 2: 150.75 - Hourly support Sept 21
*SUP 3: 150.67 - 55-WMA
*SUP 4: 150.65 - Low Sept 20
*COMMENTARY: The correction lower from 2017 highs is hesitating ahead of key
DMAs clustered 150.43-60. Bears continue to look for a close below the 200-DMA
(150.43) to end bullish hopes and hint at a move back to 149.65 July lows with
below 150.06 to confirm. Layers of resistance remain and are weighing with bulls
still needing a close above 151.09 to shift focus back to 2017 highs (151.51).
