MNI BRIEF: China Ready To Promote International Tourism

China is ready to work with other parties to promote international tourism following Beijing’s downgrading of Covid-19 to "level B management and control", the Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) said at a press conference on Thursday.

A spokesperson mentioned that the number of Chinese traveling abroad, and inbound passengers were gradually increasing, a trend that would help with the world economic recovery. On other matters, MOFCOM also mentioned support would be given to Hong Kong to join the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) "as soon as possible".
