The European Central Bank's supervision department will focus mainly on banks' credit risk; capital strength; business model sustainability; and governance in 2021, according to notes in the 2020 Supervisory Review and Evaluation Process.

"Supervisors will focus on the adequacy of banks' credit risk measurement and management, with a view to fostering timely identification, efficient monitoring and the mitigation of procyclicality," the report said.
