MNI BRIEF: Fed's Bullard Sees Stronger H2 Growth

(MNI) WASHINGTON

St. Louis Fed President James Bullard said Friday a weaker-than-expected but still blockbuster third quarter U.S. GDP reading of 6.5% means "a lot of the growth was pushed into the second half of 2021."

That will leave the economy with an annualized growth rate of 7% for 2021 as a whole, Bullard said, calling it a "stellar" pace and expecting strong momentum to persist into 2022.
