MNI BRIEF: Japan July Consumer Confidence Dips On Living Costs

TOKYO (MNI)

Japan's consumer confidence index fell July, the second straight drop, as all components worsened and prompted the Cabinet Office to lower its assessment, data released by the Cabinet Office on Friday showed.

Key in the survey were higher living costs possibly impeding private consumption ahead. The consumer confidence index fell to 30.2 in July. The latest survey was conducted from July 6 to July 20.
