LONDON (MNI) - he pace of data releases picks up somewhat Wednesday and Fed
officials also help pad out the calendar.
The European calendar gets underway at 0745GMT, with the publication of the
French industrial production data.
At 0900GMT, the German VDMA machine orders data will be released.
The first official UK data of the year will hit the wires at 0930GMT, when
the latest manufacturing, production and trade numbers are released.
Across the Atlantic, the calendar tees off at 1200GMT, with the release of
the MBA weekly applications index.
At the same time, UK PM Theresa May will take her weekly questions at PMQs.
UK think-tank NIESR will publish their latest monthly GDP estimate at 1300GMT.
At the same time, Canadian building permits data will be released.
The latest US import/export price index will be published at 1330GMT.
Chicago Federal Reserve Bank President Charles Evans participates in a
moderated discussion at the Lake Forest-Lake Bluff Rotary Club 2018 Economic
Breakfast in Lake Forest, Illinois, with audience and media Q&A, started at
1400GMT. Dallas Federal Reserve Bank President Rob Kaplan participates in a
moderated Q&A at the Weitzman Group Annual Retail Forecast in Dallas, with
audience Q&A, starting at 1400GMT.
US wholesale trade data will be released at 1500GMT, alongside the Atlanta
Fed inflation index.
The weekly DOE weekly crude oil stocks data will be released at 1530GMT,
with the Kansas City Fed LMCI data expected at 1600GMT.
St. Louis Federal Reserve Bank President James Bullard will give a
presentation on the "U.S. Economy and Monetary Policy" at the 2018 Economic
Outlook event in St. Louis, with audience Q&A, starting at 1830GMT.
