MNI BRIEF: Belgium Still Planning 2022 Green OLO Issuance

No changes expected in Belgium's overall funding remit, despite increased spending plans by government for energy cost mitigation plans.

The Belgian Debt Agency is still planning to launch a new green OLO later this year, Maric Post, Director Treasury and Capital Markets at the Belgian Treasury told MNI in an emailed response to questions.

However, despite the government's announcement of a EUR 1.4 billion package to alleviate the effects of soaring fuel costs, there are no current plans to alter this year's funding target.
