MNI Global Morning Briefing

MNI (London)
LONDON (MNI) - Monday's calendar looks like a dog day of Summer, with very
little scheduled on either side of the Atlantic. However, the day will continue
to be driven by news headlines, with Turkey and Italy set to remain an early
focus in Europe.
The data calendar kicks off at 0700GMT, with the release of the Spanish
industrial orders data, released alongside the Spanish services sector survey.
At 0800GMT, the final Italian July harmonised inflation data will cross the
wires.
Across the Atlantic, there is very little to focus on, with only the New
York Fed survey of consumer expectations set for release.
Overnight into Tuesday, there is a host of Chinese data set for
publication, including industrial output and retail sales.
Australian releases include the ANZ-Roy Morgan Consumer Confidence at
2330GMT and the NAB business survey at 0130GMT.
