LONDON (MNI) - The two key releases to start the week are Germany's
November IFO at 0900GMT and the UK October BBA mortgage approvals at 0930GMT.
Germany's IFO will probably be more noteworthy this month given the recent
negative GDP and PMI readings. The previous index value for the business climate
index was 102.8.
ECB Executive Board member Peter Praet is speaking in Frankfurt at 0900GMT.
The BBA mortgage approvals for September dropped to a six-month low at
38,505 and therefore October's data will reveal if some form of recovery has
occurred before the official data from the Bank of England on Thursday.
At 1230GMT ECB Executive Board member Benoit Coeure speaks in Vienna.
ECB President Mario Draghi is speaking at the ECON hearing of the European
parliament at 1400GMT and 1600GMT in Brussels. ECB Governing Council member Jens
Weidmann is speaking in Frankfurt at 1800GMT.
Closing the speeches at 1830GMT, New York Federal Reserve Vice President
Richard Dzina appears in New York.
