MNI Global Morning Briefing: Eurozone Manufacturing PMI In Focus

(MNI) LONDON

Early data sees the release of Swiss inflation and retail sales data. Inflation in Switzerland is seen picking up from 0.9% to 1.1% in October.

Tuesday throws up a full data calendar, with the Euro area final manufacturing PMI data set to be the early feature. Coming a day later than normal in the calendar, the Spanish and Italian PMIs will confirm a modest slowdown in recent weeks. The French, German and combined eurozone data will likely confirm the flash readings, with France seen at 53.5, Germany at 58.2 and the Eurozone at 54.7.

The U.S. calendar has little to offer to entice traders, with only the latest Redbook retail sales data and the IBD/TIPP Optimism Index expected.

There are no speakers slated for Tuesday, but both the Federal Reserve and Bank of England start their latest policy meetings.
