MNI: NY Fed Names Roberto Perli Head of Markets Desk

(MNI) WASHINGTON

Ex-board economist replaces Lorie Logan, now Dallas Fed President.

The Federal Reserve Bank of New York on Thursday named Roberto Perli as head of its markets desk, responsible for implementing monetary policy effective Feb. 21. Julie Remache, a senior staffer on the markets desk, was named deputy System Open Market Account manager.

Perli, a former Fed Board staffer and current global policy chief at Piper Sandler, succeeds Lorie Logan, who became president of the Dallas Fed in August. He was interviewed on MNI's FedSpeak podcast last year.
