MNI: PBOC Skips OMO, Liquidity Unchanged

     BEIJING (MNI) - After 5 straight days of injections, the People's Bank of
China (PBOC) skipped open market operations (OMOs) on Friday, leaving liquidity
unchanged. No reverse repos mature today, according to Wind Information. The
central bank said the increase in fiscal expenditures near month-end can hedge
the impact of reverse repo maturities and other factors.
  - The 7-day weighted average interbank repo average rate for depository
institutions (DR007) rose to 2.6475% at 9:30 a.m. local time from the close of
2.5983% Thursday: Wind Information;
  - The CFETS-NEX money-market sentiment index closed at 28 on Thursday, down
from 31 on Wednesday.
