MNI: PBOC Skips OMO, Liquidity Unchanged

     BEIJING (MNI) - The People's Bank of China (PBOC) skipped open market
operations (OMOs) on Tuesday, leaving liquidity unchanged, as no reverse repos
mature today, according to Wind Information. The central bank said liquidity in
the banking system is at a reasonable and ample level.
- The 7-day weighted average interbank repo average rate for depository
institutions (DR007) rose to 2.6445% at 9:43 a.m. local time from the close of
2.6048% Monday: Wind Information;
- The CFETS-NEX money-market sentiment index closed at 41 on Monday, down from
54 on Friday.
