MNI Peru Central Bank Preview – April 2023

  • Peru’s central bank is expected to keep policy unchanged on Thursday, leaving the reference rate at 7.75%. This is the view of 11 analysts surveyed by Bloomberg. Despite an above-estimate CPI print in March, inflation expectations have remained stable. Combining this with weak economic activity, the MPC will be fully justified in maintaining the current reference rate at this juncture.
