Monday 27 November:

  • Germany: According to a government spokesman, the Cabinet is set to agree on a supplementary budget for 2023. The need to present the new tax and spending plans comes after the Constitutional Court ruling that deemed a EUR60bn off-budget climate change fund using unspent COVID-19 debt unconstitutional. As well as the supplementary budget, the government is also seeking an exemption from the constitutional debt brake in 2023 due to the fiscal impact of the ruling.
